Sea Familia operates two boats from KP3 port in Labuan Bajo. Sea Familia is a 25 m gaff-rigged ketch with six cabins for 12 guests and a crew of 14, and stays around Komodo. Sea Familia 2 is a 36.35 m traditional phinisi with red sails, six cabins for 16 and the only one of the pair that carries dive gear, sailing as far as Sumbawa and Alor.
The company publishes a calendar of shared departures, mostly three days and two nights around Komodo and the Flores Sea, alongside longer passages of up to two weeks. Private charter is priced per boat per night on any free dates, with a route agreed with the team. Dive trips are run by the in-house Sea Familia Dive Academy.
Shared trips start from about USD 470 per person. Check the departures page for cabins left and book online or by WhatsApp. Note that park entrance fees and tips are usually extra on Komodo trips, so check the package details for each departure.
Boats and rooms sell out from June to September. Message the operator early.
