Mermaid Liveaboards operates two twin-engine steel motor yachts built for diving. Mermaid I is 28 m long, and Mermaid II is 33 m with eight deluxe cabins that can be set up as doubles or twins. Safety equipment listed for both boats includes life rafts, radar, a satellite phone, emergency oxygen, an extensive first aid kit and fire alarms, and the crew are first aid trained. Rental gear and a camera station are on board.

Komodo is covered on longer crossings rather than short loops from Labuan Bajo: Bali to Komodo and back in 8 or 10 days, Bali to Maumere via Komodo, and versions that add whale sharks in Saleh Bay off Sumbawa. These routes dive the north, centre and south of the park in one trip. Non-divers can join, but the schedule is built around three or four dives a day.

It suits experienced divers who want a long, well-organised dive itinerary with Komodo as the centrepiece. Check the schedule and rates page for departures and book by email.

Boats and rooms sell out from June to September. Message the operator early.
