Komodo Kayaking runs small-group, guided sea kayak trips out of Labuan Bajo. Day options include a Labuan Bajo islands paddle (about 6 hours, from USD 125), a family kayaking trip and a Mangroves and Caves trip (from USD 160) that paddles through mangrove forest to see the fruit bat colony at Kalong and swims in Rangko Cave.
Longer trips go into the national park: a 2-day adventure (from USD 590) and the 3-day Komodo kayak adventure (from USD 890), with Komodo dragons, snorkelling and beach landings at Pink Beach. They also run a 2-day kayak course and longer Indonesian expeditions. Single and double kayaks are available.
Groups are capped at four guests per guide, guides hold first-aid and CPR certificates, and participants should be 10 or older. Book through the website or WhatsApp; the office opens weekdays 09:00 to 17:00.
The best months for paddling are April to November, when seas are calmer. Overnight trips use a support boat for gear and meals, so you paddle light between islands. Bring reef-safe sun cream, a hat and a dry bag for your phone; the team provides snorkel gear and kayaks.
Boats and rooms sell out from June to September. Message the operator early.
